Really weird mark under nail

My FHP was unhappy with a mark under my toenail.

I went to the Dr's and got referred on 2 week pathway to dermatology.

I was in and out of the room in under 20 seconds. I'm genuinely not exaggerating. Dr said it was fine.

Mark is still there. There is a distinct line. Colour is light brown.

Do I ask to be re referred? Ignore it? I've had it for a year now.

It's not fungal, not a bruise....

When you say the doctor said it was fine, do you mean GP or dermatology doctor? If it were the second, I'd probably believe them. They know what characteristics they're looking for. If you're still concerned, go back to your GP. If you get referred, ask for a biopsy?

It was a dermatologist yes

I would be confident that a dermatologist knew what they were taking about.

It can be caused by melanoma

Looks like trauma to me. Have you dropped something/stubbed it?
My daughter had the same and it totally went away
