Hi has anyone had experience with the blood test for serum free light chains that showed abnormal, did it mean cancer? Can it mean other health problems and not cancer?

What are the readings? Kappa, lambda and serum free light chain ratio
are any other blood results abnormal?
Any symptoms?

Hi, the kappa is 29.70mg/l and lambda 31.10mg/l normal ratio 1.00. Vit d is low, ferritin is 7ug, haematocrit is low 0.385. Symptoms are weight loss, loss of appetite and severe lower back pain, radiating to the right side slightly. Thanks so much

Serum free light chains at those levels are not very specific but it sounds like you need investigation for the other symptoms
