Head Pain For A Month - Scared

Hi
I wonder if anyone can help please?
I noticed I had a headache/ pain in my head at New Year.
I didn't think much of it as I get mild headaches a couple of times a week which paracetamol and Ibuprofen sort out straight away.
I then realised that this one was not shifting. I began to wake up with it and it would last all day. Painkillers dampen it but it's still there...
It's in one specific place on the top left of my head. It is a dull ache but with sharpness every few seconds.
I have seen two different Dr's, the first saying tension headache with which I disagreed. It is constant and does not fit with tension headache symptoms.
So I saw another GP who ordered bloodtests. I was supposed to go back in a month but the pain is so draining, that I went back yesterday. A lot of my blood results were abnormal, but he's only treating me with folic acid.
He's sent me away with amitriptyline *twice a day and to come back in 3 or 4 weeks if no improvement.

I am so worried and scared. I struggle to get through every hour. I've thought about A&E but know how snowed under they are. Although it's not an emergency, to me it feels like it is.
I don't really have any other symptoms apart from feeling shaky all the time, but this could be from how upset I am making myself.
I'm not 100% sure why I'm posting, but just hope someone who has experienced something similar could put my mind at rest 🥺
Thank you in advance and apologies if I've posted in the wrong place or if I offend anyone xx

Hi OP, I understand how scared you are. I have similar headaches from 2019, I was given an MRI which was all clear so hold it was hormonal.

since then my headaches have come and gone but like you this time I’ve had a constant what I would say is a migraine for over 3 weeks now. I can’t move my right eye, light hurts, sound hurts, pain relief doesn’t work whatsoever. Dr dismissed it as hormonal again last week.

How are you feeling today?

Thank you so much for your reply.
It's not so intense today - I'm just aware of it. So maybe the amitriptyline is kicking in. I feel quite shaky but putting that down to side effects.
It's horrible and I'm catatrophising - what if the amitriptyline is just covering up something more sinister 😓
