He's 65 and had COPD for some time but he's been unwell over Christmas and went back to the doctor who referred him for an X-ray and called him back. Today he went for a CT scan.
The CT scan shows something on the right lung which needs further investigation, he is going in tomorrow for the camera to look into it further. They will take numerous biopsies and then the pathologist will look at them. The team then meet up and discuss the results at which stage they decide on how they deal with it, he was at first given antibiotics and steroids but they took him off them.
He's very drained, washed out and has been like this since November really.
