Hello,

Only had 5 days, which finished last Friday to my breast for a stage 1 cancer.

I started tamoxifen about 2 months ago and had an underactive thyroid wobble which has only just begun to settle.

Im just wondering if radiotherapy could make all my neck and upper back and hip joints and a dodgy wrist react a bit in the weeks afterwards? Not just the shoulder it was targeted at. Pain is everywhere!

I've been doing gentle exercise etc but have completely seized up today. Lots of pain in the might too. Joints had been doing really well till now.

Trying to acertain if it's a radio therapy after effect or two months on tamoxifen.

Either the tamoxifen or just coincidence, won't be the radiotherapy

Ring your breast care nurses

I had same BC pathway as you, tho anastrozole not tamoxifen
Haven't heart of symptoms like yours tho

Probably unrelated but worth ringing BCNs first

Thank you - I think this is me sans oestrogen and over doing it. Night sweats were insane at the time too, that's calmed down now. I seem to have to do daily morning and nighttime stretches or I get fibro like symptoms.

Unless there's an attempt at a menstrual cycle going on. Not had a period since august.

That will be the tamoxifen.
Mine completely stopped until 6 months after treatment finished.

Best wishes for your journey Flowers

I doubt it's the radiotherapy. I had 5 treatments and am on anastrozole. My only side effect of radiotherapy was a tan.

Talk to your bc nurse and see what they suggest.

Thanks @forgotname. That's what I was most worried about going on tamoxifen tbh. But I'm willing to give it a year and see what happens. I just want them to fuck off tbh.

Forgot to say that I've had to adjust thyroxine medication too over the last 5 weeks so there could also be a bit of additional fuckery happening there. I was feeling very hypothyroid prior to that.

Predict score was only 1-2 %. But still willing to give it a good go.
