Help! Wellington Hospital- need somewhere to stay

Hi

My DH is about to have surgery and chemo at the Wellington Hospital in London. He is expected to be in hospital for 2 weeks. We are travelling quite a distance to get there and I am planning to stay for the duration.

Everything we have looked at costs £££. Has anyone been to the Wellington? Any ideas for cheaper accommodation etc would be much appreciated. Will also be driving to London so will need to park car somewhere etc.

TIA

I have to go up to London for treatment a few times per year. I recommend having a look on airbnb or looking for a serviced apartment, as that may work out cheaper than a hotel. The alternative is that you find a hotel or guest house outside London that is next to the tube or a good overland train. The prices will be lower then and you can look into tickets for the train that are most cost effective for you. I got myself an Oyster card, for instance.

The Marriott Regent's Park is nice and has a car park. I have no idea what your budget is.
You could stay a tube ride away, somewhere like Willesden - this is on the Jubilee line which is the right tube line for the wellington hospital. As PP said, an Airbnb is a good idea.
