CT scan results: HELP

I've posted a pic below of my DH's chest CT scan results. He's currently on the 2ww but I'm trying to get as much info as possible beforehand, mostly to prepare myself really. He has emphysema in his lungs from a past smoking habit (he's quit for 10+ years) but I can't tell what in the report is attributed to the emphysema and what isn't.

Can anyone explain to me what it all means? Do these results mean it's definitely cancer?

Any and all help appreciated!

I don't want to say it but unfortunately yes. Malignancy. If it wasn't, it would say benign. I am very sorry.

You asked if definitely cancer. It's not definitely cancer.
There is a mass like consolidation. Possible diagnoses are cancer and that is the most serious thing to rule out hence the advice for further tests but consolidation might mean infection. I would prepare yourself for a cancer diagnosis though. Such a worrying time for you xx

It's possibly cancer. Not definitely. You might want to get this removed as the doctors name is visible.

Oh crap. Didn't notice!

How do I get it removed?

Sorry!

Not a very helpful comment. It says that malignancy can't be ruled out, not that it definitely is malignant.
