Hi,
My mum (65) was recalled last week after a routine mammogram and has been told that there is 'something there that shouldn't be' and that the 'lymph nodes are looking busy'. She has had several biopsies done and she gets the official diagnosis on Thursday. It's obviously a lot to get our heads around but I can't say this has come as a huge shock. What's complicating things is that back in 2020 she underwent investigations in the exact same area in that breast for nipple discharge but after biopsies and scans was diagnosed with benign ductal ectasia. She said that there has been a hard area there since then and thinks the area might be harder now but no real change. Just seems odd that cancer seems to have grown from that benign condition. Not sure what I'm asking but maybe someone here has been through something similar. Thank you xx
