camping with no car!

Sorry, it is my second message in this topic today!
I have been reading through and I am now starting to feel panicy!
We have no car, so are taking dc's 9,7,4 and 2 on a 5 hour train journey to campsite near Glastonbury.
We have a cheap 1 room tent, which I am no doubting as it has only been used twice for 1 night each, by dh, and never in rain!
We currently have 1 sleeping bag and NOTHING else.
It has suddenly occured to me that we are going to need to carry an awful lot of stuff, and what will we eat.
It is already booked, so now it really is an adventure!
We need to buy a nice big rucksack or 2 and some for the kids.

So, what is the bare minimum we need, I am trying to work out what I need to buy. Do we need mats, to go undr sleeping bags for example?
No fires are allowed on the site, and the nearest shop is 2 miles away!
Any advice on what to take?

I used to camp without mats. It is fine for a bit. I think that a trangia would be best as its stackable. Children will all need rucksacks for their own stuff (good luck with the 2 year old). Mat to sit on outside. Wear shorts as much as poss. don't bother with pjs - just undies and t-shirt. little torches. matches and phone number for nearest pizza delivery place.

You could perhaps get a taxi when you are there to the nearest supermarket and get supplies? or perhaps a bus.
