cool camping books

anyone have these? Anyone got any to sell? Im tempted but at £15 a book its quite a lot imo.

Mm not looking to sell sorry but i wouldn't bother if i were you. A lot of the sites are very, very busy and it kind of negates the point of camping for me (i don't want to go where everyone else wants to go!) ie you want a well kept secret. If that makes sense.

good to know, i like little sites that are quiet and not over crowded. As long as its got clean toilets and hot showers thats enough for me

I really like the Cool Camping books, have found some brilliant sites, most good sites are very busy in season, though there are plenty that only have a very few pitches (but lots of space) so seem very quiet even when full. These generally need booking a long time in advance.

The books are roughly half price at Amazon if that helps.

we have one of them, but as pootles says by mere fact of being in the book they're really busy as we found when we went to devon for half term!

we def ought to have alittle mn list of little-known sites! esp ones where you can have an open fire

I have them too, and love it, although most of it is just for browsing purposes really.

I do the same thing with recipe books though, so might not be the best person in the world to ask...
