For weekend camping with children? (aged 4 - 9).
Any top favourites?
Quiet and natural rather than huge footie fields and big family encmapments with speedboat and trampoline!

That sounds lovely, Riven! Ideal!

Am concerned though that this w/e the Glastonbury traffic will make a journey SW from London a trip of hell!

What about the New Forest? Or the Bournemouth/Poole area?

Straight down the M3 and M27 You can have days out to Brownsea island or take a ferry at Lymington over to Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight. Beaches if you want it or walks with picnics in the forest or paddling in streams and new forest ponies

M3 from the M25 junction down to the M27 takes 50 mins.

We were at Stubcroft weekend before last - it was lovely but the guy running the place needs a calculator. Took him AGES to agree our bill (group of us) - oh, and we used the eco loos once each & then walked to the flushing variety
