No way. Been there, done that, far too draughty and damp.

Although practically the only thing dd remembers about our early camping holidays, is the starlings wandering into the tent in the mornings, so I suppose it wasn't all bad.

Mine has separate groundsheet, never had a problem! I love my tent and did weigh up the pros and cons before buying.

Obviously the bedrooms all zip up tight so the only difference between sewn in and not is the living area. Never had rain in the tent as it goes under the groundsheet.

Oh and non SIG are far easier when it comes to packing up, no drying out worries before packing back in the bag if the bottom of the tent is damp or wet. And there are all the bits to try and shake out if its a sewn in.
