We have discovered that we much prefer camping where there are few rules, and few amenities. I love the grubby children running around, the strip-washing in the tent with a bowl of water heated on the stove etc. Yes, I may be a nutcase, and I don't know why I love it, but I do!

Anyway, where are the best campsites with few amenities? I've stayed places with one portaloo and no showers; one cold water tap. I have a whizz and can manage a trip to a local McDs or services for a poo if absolutely necessary so I don't even think I need a loo, but I do need a tap, I think.
Has anyone got any near-wild campsites they can recommend?
