ready beds for kids?

Anyone use one of those inflatable ready bed thingys for the kids when camping? Going with 3 year old and 15 month old. Thought "my first ready bed" for the youngest as it has side bits and a normal "ready bed" for the 3 year old as needs to be bigger. Or does anyone have any other ideas? Thought sleeping bags would be too big, and when also have to then buy airbeds seperately. Want to try and have minimum stuff to take as only have small car! Going to be interesting!

We've had a couple and they are really useful. Even though the blow up bit doesn't last forever, you'll still have the bag, and the kids really seem to like sleeping on them. Have fun!

We got some readybeds after camping on a slight slope and finding the dcs and sleeping bags in a heap at the bottom of the airbeds every morning . They are very happy in them although we do find a thin blanket underneath is a must as well as something over the top if needed, as they aren't as thick as normal sleeping bags.

Mind you, if you'd rather stick to sleeping bags but worry about them being too big, we used to just tie a piece of string tightly around the bag to shorten it so the dcs couldn't slip down too far inside. You can do it further down as they grow and it doesn't damage the bag.
