decathalon or outwell?? what do you think?

Hmm had pretty much decided that our perfect family tent (2 adults + toddler) was Outwell Nevada M with extension. Then I've seen all these rave reviews for Decathalon 4.2 pop-up - it looks so easy to put up and you can get an extension.

Does anyone have any opinion? Are the decathalon more short stay tents? Is the nevada more spacious?

Oh the decisions!

Thanks for all suggestions.

I ahven't really encountered the decathlons but we did have an Outwell and found it to be an excellent quality tent and really durable if that helps?

I haven't heard of Decathalons but I have a Nevada. Myself and DS (age 9) can put it up in 20 mins. It's a fab tent.

We have a Decathlon 4.1 (one bedroom only, but sleeps 4. The 4.2 has 2 bedrooms).
It is AMAZING. These tents are going to change the way people think about tents. Up in 8 mins, and down in 10. tried it out last weekend, and everyone was wowwing over it, and very jealous!

we found the pop up tent a bit low in the middle (could not quite stand up in it. so we went for this one .
dh was able to pitch it himself while I took care of our 2year old.

We have the Quechua Base Seconds 4.2 and it is fab - so easy to pitch. I was a bit dubious about the claims of being able to pitch it in 5 mins but it is all true! It gets rave reviews on ukcampsite too. It has a full height living area with plenty of space for a table and chairs and two bedroom areas. Their are videos on the Quechua website showing how to put it up and down.

we're going to go the decathlon shop in glasgow and check them out - I'm quite excited, I really want to like them as it seems they will take a lot of the stress out of camping.

thanks for sharing you thoughts

After seeing both today we went with the outwell, it seemed brighter and easier in a way with the sewn in ground sheets, more expensive though

Europe here we come!
