Camping Bel Tranche Sur Mer -Anyone been?

It sounds nice. The reviews are good but when I looked on google maps it doesn't look very tranquil. (roads, car parks, houses between it and the beach)
Les Eculreuils and La Garangeoire are also on the shortlist but we had settled on Bel as we didn't fancy the hike to the supermarket so often and quite like to be near the beach.

I?ve been here! When I was 14, so it was 14 years ago now (blimey). It was brilliant, the beach was close, the campsite comfortable from what I remember, although we stayed in a mobile home not a tent. I?m not sure if it?s exactly the same place, but it was definitely La Trance Sur Mer and we had a great time. There are a few bars a short walk away and the supermarket was good and well stocked. Clean beach. But you might want to take my review with a pinch of salt as it was so long ago.

in case you are still around, we have just got home from there and it was great

there was a little road noise during rush hours but not significant, and the site istself is so quiet (no karaoke etc) that it mnore than mad eup for it.

we did La Garangeoire two years ago when dd was 11m and got fed up with having to get in the car to do anything - Bel was terrific to potter to town, beach, supermarket, out for lunches etc with preschoolers but if you have 7yos or older then a big site like La G that has more to offer older kids in the way of kayaking, horseriding, long bike trail setc may be better.
