Chester zoo camping help please

Can anyone recommend a site near Chester zoo

Myself and 4dc 15,13,7 and 4 with a 4man tent and a pup tent with electric hook up , park and laundry on site .If it had a pool even better

Am looking for first week of August and heres the awkward bit needs be reasonably close to public transport train/bus

Have you checked on ukcs on their find a site jobby? You can see on a map there the position of each site. Despite being from Chester I don't really know of any sites close to the city.

There is a camping and caravaning site at Delamere forest which is within easy walking distance of the little station there. You can get trains into Chester and from there a (park and ride) bus out to the zoo.

Delamere has a high wire doobery which would be perfect for your teenagers. You can hire bikes there as well, lots of lovely walks and cycle paths.

Am just finding my way round the various camp websites were very new to this camping lark

The ukcs campsite search really is the biz. It takes a bit of playing about with but once you get the hang of it it's fantastic. SO usueful to get reviews from rl campers who have actually stayed there and used the loos.

Caravan club has a site right near blue planet aquarium & designer shopping outlet place. Its only about 5 mile from Chester city centre and am pretty sure there is public transport.

If you want a pool, have you tried Plassey near Wrexham, not sure how close it is for Chester zoo but cant be that far.
