where to store tent?

where do you all store your tents when not in use.

I used to live in a flat with huge cupboard where all camping stuff was rammed. Have recently moved to a house with no cupboards (let alone big cupboards. So have put tent in the shed, new shed is dry.

Will the tents be ok in the shed or should iput them somewhere else?

If your shed is dry and rodent free it should be ok. I keep mine either in the garage (which is dry) or in the loft. In the garage it is wrapped in a big plastic bag because we have a mouse in there. All the other camping stuff (cooker etc) is in the garage in a box. Sleeping bags are in the cupboard over the wardrobe so they stay completely dry.

All ou camping gear is in the loft , thinking of investing in a lock up to keep it all in on the driveway!

Thanks for responses, will leave them in the shed for now. When I get a loft ladder organised so I can get up there might shift the tents up just in case. So far sehd is dry and rodent free fngers crossed it stays that way

ours is under the stairs.. Will may put it in the loft but as we had rats probs in the past in the loft, prob be best to keep the tent in the understairs and any other soft items but the hard items ie the cooler box in the loft....im too scared that the rats will chew thru!! it just safter being under the stairs

Our tent is under the bed because it is too big and heavy to put into the loft!

I think I would rather it was inside unless you have a shed that is completely bone-dry and rodent / insect-free.
