Camping tips anyone?

Taking Dh and 3 Ds's camping next month.
Used to go alot with Girly Guides way back when but not been since,
Has anyone any tips to share about camping with kids please (NOT would not be appreciated at this atge thanks all the same!)

Bring a hat for night time. Even at this time of year it can get cold in the middle of the night without one.

Insect repellent if going west.

String and pegs to make a washing line.

Something big to transport water so you don't have to keep going to the standpipe.

If you get fed up with rice and pasta, Quinoa is nice and easy to cook while camping. (Also very healthy and full of protien) Bring jars of ready made sauce for easy to cook meals.

Is that Devon? Shouldn't be too cold then, but nights in a tent can be colder than you'd think so have some extra blankets ready and maybe put them to bed in socks.

Make sure everybody has a torch or is with someone with one.

Flipflops or jellies for everybody for bathroom visits during the night (or use a bucket!)

Fly spray - tent tends to fill up with bugs during the early evening so spray and zip up about 30 mins before anybody goes to bed.

As well as a huge water container, bring a large jug/tupperware to keep water for making drinks (easier to access than container)

When are you going PeachyClair and where are you staying? Just being nosey. We're going from 25th Aug for four nights, camping here
