Primavera with kids

Not sure if this is the right thread as hopefully wouldn't be camping, but was wondering if anyone had taken kids to the Primavera festival in Barcelona? My husband would like to go in May but our 2 dds are only 7 months and 2 & a half. Don't want to rain on his parade but also don't want to drag everyone to Spain if it's not going to be any fun when we get there.

Probably not the right thread as you probably wouldn?t camp to go to Primavera, but I didn?t want you to go unanswered! I?ve only been without children, before DD was born, and personally I wouldn?t do it with kids. This is because the good bands are on really late ? like 3 AM late ? and there?s nothing especially for kids to do on the site anyway, other than watch bands. Unless it?s changed, you also can?t take in any of your own food or drink (not even water!). You don?t stay on the site like with UK festivals, but rather you stay wherever you like in Barcelona and go from there to the site, if you see what I mean. TBH I don?t actually know if they allow under-18s?

That said? since the big bands are on really late, what you could do as a family would be to go to Barcelona and find a nice small apartment to stay in, and do fun stuff all together during the day (loads of fun kiddie-friendly stuff in Barcelona), and then if DH is really that keen he could go to the bands that are on after the kids have gone to sleep. Perhaps not the most fun for you though! Or you could take it in turns? IMO it?s a lovely time of year to go there ? not too hot. Would probably all work out quite pricey though?

It?s a tough one ? DP would love to go this year as some of his favourite bands ever are playing, but with DD being 18 months and me already up the duff with no.2, not to mention us being as skint as right now it wouldn?t really make sense.

Hope that all helps!
