bell tent cotton filled mattress – don't get one!

very expensive and so not at all worth it. I just bought one and it's not in any way comfortable to sleep on. It cost me £99 + £10 for shipping. I asked them if they would take it back and they said they would if I would arrange my own shipping ? so no support in getting a product back to them. (I haven't done it as I don't want to pay so much for shipping, so I'm stuck with the thing.)

It's very pretty, but it's style over substance. It's way too big to take camping, unless you have a people carrier, and not comfy to sleep on anyway.

I like their tents, though!

I heard bad things about bell tent uk's level of service on a camping forum which was why I went with soulpad. I did give bell tent a chance and emailed them some questions before buying but they didn't ever reply. So I'm not surprised they aren't being that helpful about refunds (although having said and to becfair togthem that I think it is standard practice to pay your own courier costs when returning something that isn't damaged).

I think it's fair to pay my own courier costs, but not being a company, I don't know how to arrange it, and can't get as good deals as them. I think if they cared about customer service, they could at least arrange it and take the price off my refund.

I'll be looking into soulpad ? good tip. I gave a bell tent person my feedback on the mattress, but I feel as if they could not care less that someone is dissatisfied, to be honest.

I think the camping forum I was reading was saying something similar about the response to a complaint they'd made.

I've always found soulpad really helpful. I had lots of inane questions and they answered them all.

ooooh, I like their bell tents! I'm saving up for a bell tent, and I know where I'll be purchasing mine from now!

i'm really surprised to hear this, because I've bought quite a few things from Belltents and have received only good, helpful and friendly service. Recommended a couple of friends, and they have been really pleased with the quality of products and service. Can't comment on the mattress though.
