Keycampers - Packing Advice Please!!!

We are off next Tuesday (1 week from today!!!) and I'm in need of advice as to how much to pack. We have 2 dds aged 3 and 5 and a ds aged 2. Hoping to pack all the kids stuff in 1 bag and mine and dh's in another (hence he is only allowed one change of underwear and his toothbrush ) There will be a 3rd bag for all the bedding and towels.

Question is, how much to pack for the children? We are there (Lake Garda) for a fortnight and I don't think the weather will be too changeable. Was thinking about shorts and t-shirts mostly with one semi smart outfit each in case we venture out for the evening. Don't really fancy doing too much in the way of washing as I do enough of it here!

So how many outfits do they need each? We are flying with Ryanair, so don't want to overdo it!

I'd say that in the day if you are doing beachy things etc they would probably only need about 3 t-shirts and a couple of pairs of shorts - who cares if they are a bit grubby! They don't smell kids do they? And once on the beach they'll be in swimming gear. Then a smarter t-shirt and shorts or two and away you go!

This is from the woman who always takes FAR too much - especially in teh kids clothes area and am definitely going to cut down this year as we have to get 7 people's luggage in one (large!!) car!!

Also just occurred to me there will be no facility for unpacking in any way. Will we all just be dipping into the bag every morning?

And 10 would be too many outfits then? That was my original thought but I had the feeling you'd all laugh at me

the hanging wardrobes in tents are pants. we have 3 kids - we stick one of them in one tent bedroom and two of them in another - that leaves the zip up room next to the double room free to put your bags to dip into. we actually unpack them into piles on the floor and stick the dirty washing back in the bag.

take some washing tablets - as the site shops always take the piss - just incase.
take some foil if you going to use the grill on the cooker
take a tea towel ( i always forget a tea towel and you look a proper twot drying pots with a beach towel)take half a bottle of washing up liquid and a scourer. i hate being over charged by site shops and nearby supermarkets.
leave the food you dont think you are going to eat at the end of the holiday in the fridge - dont take it home the reps can have it - they need their money for beer - their only young - let them have it.
10 outfits will be good enough. your kids will probably potter around in swimming cossy all day like mine do anyway.
sea sandles. please dont forget these as i got stung by a sea urchin thing in france and it was truly the most painful experience of my life.

Have bought those rubber sandals from Asda for the pool/beach.

Do you think 2 towels each is OTT? Was just thinking one using and one drying...

i take one tea towel.

i think if there are 4 of you infamily all planning to go swimming you should prolly have a beach towel each - these are also used for the shower for us.

WE always take swimming/shower towels + beach towels. We also do 1 wash in launderette whilst away, so have enough undies & fav. Tshirts etc to last a fortnight.
