Bathing little ones

For those that go camping with toddlers, what replaces the evening bath? I can't imagine ours liking a shower and wouldn't have thought there were baths at camp sites, so I wondered what the alternative is.

At the moment I'm inclined to take one of those floppy plastic garden buckets, fill it with water and chuck him in.

Depends on the campsite. We went to one last year with a family bathroom that had a full size bath in so our 10week old DD had a luxurious bath every night.

In previous years (pre my own DD) friends' have bathed their lo's in buckets... makes for excellent comedy holiday snaps too

we keep our camping kit in big storage boxes, one of those doubles as a bath and yes we have great comdey photos too!

baby in a washing up bowl, toddlers, when im in the shower i fill one of those flexi toy/garden buckets full of water. They sit in whilst i shower, then i wash them once im done. The later is done when the facilities allow, otherwise they stand in the bowl! Did attempt to get them in the shower, they created so much, i think people thought i was beating them! Never again unless they ask or moan about the bowl/tub!

We take our baby bath!

It gets filled with stuff in the trailer and then our youngest can have his normal pre-bed bath! From about 3 years old, our oldest has been showering with one of us.

We found the storage boxes that our other stuff goes in have sharp edges so are not particulalry good for bathing lo's.

I use a storage trug or a large washing up bowl and wash em by the tent, much to the amusement of other campers. Only bother doing it every few days tho, being grubby is part of camping isn't it???

When our two were little we had a small inflatable dinghy that we filled outside the tent as a bath - easy to transport and doubled up as a paddling pool.

Some campsites have a big sink allocated for baby baths. Other wise a plastic storage box always did it for us too.

Floppy garden bucket here!

We did what lucycat did. Alfresco bath in an inflatable boat as dd was scared of the shower.
