Hiring a trailer

Anyone done this?
We're definitely going to use a trailer for next year's camping holiday as we have TONS of stuff.
Rather than forking out for a trailer we'd only use for a fortnight every year (and for which we have no proper storage) we're thinking about renting a trailer instead?

Opinions/recommendations gratefully recieved.

never done this - do you have a tow bar?

Mummyisamonster · 27/11/2009 18:50

Yup, got a tow bar. I did a google search and there seemed to be places where you can hire trailers & covers for about £90 a week/fortnight.

I just wondered if anyone had done that and if they had any comments or advice.

I looked into this and it seemed that if you used it 3 times it would probably be cheaper to buy one on Ebay. I got a good trailer hardly used for less than £200 on ebay. It cost me more to get the tow bar fitted.

Obviously storage can be a problem, currently ours is stored in my Mum's garage but it does store on it's end which means it doesn't take up too much space.
