Last camping trip of the season in a few weeks...what do I need to do?

What should I do with the tent before putting it away for the winter?

make sure it is totally, totally dry. We had an incident involving a snail which crept into the tent just before we put it away - the result was surprisingly widespread and unpleasant.

pack the mallet, pegs and poles in with the tent so there is no chance of forgetting them.

wash your sleeping bags?

yep definately dry it out completely

give everything you only use for camping a good clean and store it well for next time.

Do I need to spray it with waterproof spray or anything along those lines? If so, which do you use?

The snail sounds quite revolting.
