What's the cheapest time of year to buy tents?

I'm guessing that late autumn/winter is likely to be cheaper as retailers try to counteract seasonal slump in sales and shift old stock. Is that right, in your experience, or is there no real cycle to it and it's just a case of looking around for good deals whatever the time of year?

check out on ebay as they have retailers on there too and the small/medium ones (brand new) are cheaper than buying it from the shops/superstore etc. We bought ours which is XL size from a superstore and its also the same price on ebay from brand new from a different retailers.

So you just have to shop around as they have sales on most of the year
