rip in tent!... what should i do??

in our haste to put up our tent the other day... we poked a pole through the sleeve and now we have a small tear... what should i do? are nylon patches helpful? what should i go for????

just found extra nylon material in the repair kit but it doesn't say what should i use to stick it on with... any ideas?

it came with seam sealant... is this the glue that i use?
