Citronella Candles - a few quick questions...

Do they work? (i.e stop nasty bugs from annoying you / biting you?)

How many do you need?

If you're having a campfire do you need them?

and finally...

...(if they are any good) where do you get them from? (cheaply!!)

Try citronella incense sticks, they seem to be smokier as you can light a few at once and they are cheap. I tried citronella candles and also oil and wasn't that impressed TBH.

where do you get the incense sticks from?

I think any incense will work. I think the campfire would have to be pretty smoky to work. If you light tightly rolled up paper or sticks and let them smoulder that should help keep them away too.

I bought them on ebay, they were really cheap too

If you have a £1 shop nearby, they do mega packs of 200 for £1, although they are mixed scents I find they do the same job.

I use oil, but incense sounds great too.
They seem to still be attracted to the light of the candles.
