oh dear oh dear things are not boding well for us attempting to camp! come laugh at us!

STILL not put the tent up in the garden, we were going to do it this weekend for a party we had but it was too wet, instead we put a tarp up to put the BBQ under and a table.

oh my god it took FOREVER to get it up - DH was faffing around and making the ropes as long as poss, i was trying to remember my one and only girl guide camp "training" from 10 years ago and attenmpting to tie the damn things.

Ended up using the 2 poles and 2 mic stands, my side was all neatly guyed in tight and secure ish (tied with lots of knots) DH had his side hooked over the washing line and round a tree before tying to the ground!!

PMSL - Can you take the tree and washing line with you???

Seriously though, you'll be just fine, you just need to check the tent is all ok before you go. When are you off?

still not found a site. We want to visit BIL in Oxford so somewhere around there. DH is doing the looking, apparently i will not find a suitable site not going anywhere until end of august thankfully!

MoM - we are in same position but we are going this weekend!! new tent, planned to put it up in mum's garden, started pelting it down 5 minutes after we got there!! was hoping we could have the predictable blazing row about putting up the tent in private, now have visions of having full on barny in front of all the camping pros who are sat in front of their tents, having a lovely cup of tea, watching our inexperienced attempts
