Camping recommendations for Spain or Italy

We are off to France again this year for our hols, going with Keycamp. But DH fancies going further afield next year and also doesn't want to drive there.

Can anyone recommend any sites in Italy or Spain? We are not bothered about being near the sea and are quite happy to hire a car once there.

Our DD will be 12 years by then so as long as the site has a pool, bar and restaurant we don't mind.

Im off to explore keycamp/Canvas etc but would really appreciate the advice from all the wonderful mums out there thanks x

Only Site we have done in Spain is El Delfin Verde, and we drove in 2 days easily with an overnight stop (arrived around 4pm 2nd day).

It is a HUGE site with direct access to a lovely beach, and one of the largest pools in Spain apparently. We went with Siblu.

The on-site supermarket was also huge and cheaper than the one in nearest town!

We went to Camping La Siesta with Canvas last year in Callela de Parafrugell It had nice beaches/ small towns/dali museum/hill towns/greek & roman remains/ 1 hour drive to water park. The camp site was very Spanish/Catalan which suited us. fantastic bakery on site which was open all day.

We flew to Barcelona and then drove up - took about 2.5 -3 hours. It isn't that far from french border so worth while looking at flights on the french side. We found that flying to barcelona with BA was cheaper than ryanair/easyjet and at more convenient times. Our hired car was also cheaper at barcelona than girones.
