EHUs - help please

Are EHUs all the same in terms of power? Do i need a specific one if camping in France?

Check with the campsite if you can use the connector used here of if you need the different french one - they should be able to advice.

I have seen campsites quoting 10amp and also 16amp here, have a feeling I read somewhere they are sometimes lower (6amp?) on the continent but again, would suggest asking the campsite.

yes they are all the same sort, you will need an adapter which can be bought form your local camping shop - we have also had to go and buy extra cable in france as we were 30 metres from our hook up so it's worth asking the site whether the standard 20 m cable (make sure it's orange cable not cheapo blue stuff from ebay) is enough.

as for the power thing - caravans use more as they run mahoosive fridges, TV's, lights and stuff. Most tents go for 6amp with no problems.
