Yes it is lovely. We keep going back. The pitches are huge and its pretty much mostly perimeter camping only. It not a refugee style campsite with rows of people crammed up the middle of fields even in August.

We usually go school holidays (july/aug) as per kids but have been a few times in June. The toilets/showers in the peak of summer are very stretched. They are not the most modern but OK. Sadly some campers seem to have no respect for anyone else and although they are cleaned 2 x daily - they do suffer a little in peak weeks. Not awful though and not enough to distract that this is prolly the best site on the Island for space, countryside feeling, pool and walkable to Shanklin. Morrisons very close too for shopping.

Deffo recommend!

We went for May Bank Holiday a couple of years ago and it was lovely - not at all busy, nice play areas, loads of rabbits... It was very rainy that week so perhaps lots of people didn't bother going, but it was very quiet and pleasant.

Thanks for your responses - going to book today.
Also found a 20% off red funnel ferry code which helps get the cost down too!
It's TSE27 - will make a new post for this too,

Thanks again
