Have been to Lower Hyde and Nodes Point on the Isle of Wight with my parents, DD (aged 2 Nodes Point; age 3 Lower Hyde) and little cousin (age 7 Nodes Point, age 8 Lower Hyde). We have had a great time both holidays. The kids loved Sparkys Crew Club in the evening (and now that the smoking ban is in operation, the club houses are much nicer places to be). The pools in both places were fine - the Lower Hyde one was quite small though.

We had a silver caravan the first time and a gold one the second time - the gold one was great because of the decking area outside - def made it more fun for the kids to play outside on. Both kids loved seeing the rabbits that came out in the early evening and morning around the caravans.

We went to Carmarthen bay at half term in a basic bronze caravan.

Didn't use the kids club or evening entertainment but the playground is very good & the swimming pool is shallow & warm.

We view this sort of place as camping in a tin tent. Don't go expecting massive luxuries and you will be fine.

The surrounding area has enough castles, beaches and country parks (Pembry is down the road) to keep my 4 and 6 year olds happy for a month.
