Any recommendations for sites in the Forest of Dean?

We were looking at Whitemead but it is fully booked for this weekend.

Ideally want clean facilities, a play park and not next to a busy road.

The only camp site I can remember was in christchurch, near Coleford. No idea what it is like now but use to enjoy walking by it in the 80s!

Im a little jealous....might book their myself next time, often visit family but its getting harder for them to accomadate now due to space.

Have a lovely time. Is it your first trip to the forest? You will be very close to Symonds Yat which is a lovely viewpoint.

I've not camped there before but my Mum used to take us all the time for day trips when we were small.

To be honest we tend to camp on the coast but I fancied a change, plus it is not that far from us.
