Replacement tent pole question

Completely buggered up a fibreglass tent pole. How easy are the replacement parts you can get on t'internet to thread and secure with elastic or should I just buy a completely new rod? How is the elastic secured at the end of the poles and is it easy to do. [cackhanded ineptitude emoticon]
Many thanks

We broke a pole last season and were looking at the replacement bits you cab buy.

In the end, DH took broken pole to Carters (local camping shop) where they sold thim the correct replacement section for £4, then we paid them £10 to fix it themselves and collected it next day.

I know it was £10 extra, but soooooo much easier than faffing about!

my replacement pole cost £1.50

if threading it just make sure you do not let go of elastic while threading

if elastic is broken you can just tie it back together
