Hiya Everyone,
As a child I used to go camping every year with my mom, dad and sisters.
I havent been since I was about 11 and I really wanted to ty it out again now I have children.
Me and my partner were going to go for a weekend while the children were with family but I chickened out of it because I got a little nervous about the safety of being in a tent with no doors to lock.
We have a holiday to Butlins planned for June but I was thinking about taking the children camping for a couple of nights in the May school holidays.
Can anyone recommend a nice safe campsite for us to go for our first time?
Any ideas/tips anything will be fantastic!
Thanks =)

Hi
We live in Brum too and a have recently started camping with our 3 DCs. We took our first trip at a really local site just in case we hated it - we went here. Very close to home i know but a great start for us and we love camping now.
Try here. Not too far from home and a lovely place to stay with children. The last place we went to was here only a two hour drive from birmingham and a really nice site. All 3 have lovely facilities.
Agree with BlaDeBla on looking at both those websites i found some useful info on them too.
Go for it and have fun x
