entertaining a teenager - help!

Hi - am going camping at the end of the month for 4 days in a basic kind of campsite (Wowow in Sussex, it's supposed to be lovely - do hope so), we are meeting up with lots of friends and their kids, all our kids are around the same age, 6 and under. However we are fostering a teenage boy from Afghanistan who has never been camping (and is not really relishing the prospect!). Can you think of outdoor games we can all play? Obviously I am reckoning the weather will be glorious (have a portable DVD player if it is not)

just want to say that wowo is lovely! got back from staying in the yurt with 3 12 year olds yesterday. He may enjoy making the campfire bits?

bonnyb1 · 08/05/2009 22:41

thanks he loves football, not sure about cricket but it is v popular in Afghanistan!

Hi ra29 - glad you said wowow is lovely - what did you think of the showers/toilets? Read some iffy reviews and feeling a bit apprehensive! Was there much to do? Were there lots of kids there? My lad has the mental level of a 12 yr old really - what did your gang make of it? (a yurt! how posh )

Rounders? Good ol' fashioned game which can involve all ages.

bonnyb1 · 12/05/2009 20:55
