My DD went there with her school for an activity week(3 years ago). It was ok and she said the food was lovely but not a lot of different choices (maybe 2 choices) the staff were friendly.

From a school outing point of view the school only used this site once and were a bit dissapointed in the range of activities then went back to using a PGL centre that they had previously used.

Nice little soft play area for the littlies, lovely pool/baby pool area

Cafe bland but adequate ( get your evening meal at the Fountain Inn or the Woodman pub)

Escape Beauty Salon is fab - the therapist is super

The area is beautiful - you can hire bikes and child trailers locally to follow the cycle trails

Just got back from there today. Very popular and you need to book well in advance at busy times.
Small shop stocks basics. Reception hires bbqs.
Has tenting and caravan pitches with electric hook up.
Nice pool, steam room sauna and jaccuzis, soft play for little ones, beauticians if you want pampering, small gym. Lots of planned entertainment indoors and out, plus evening kiddy disco and adult entertainer/ disco. Bar with Sky sports (don't know if thats a good thing or not!!)
Restaurant a bit mass market but ok think they do pizza take away too, several good pubs in walking distance.
Very nice chinese and indian in Lydney plus a Tesco.
Forest of Dean railway nearby - great for your Thomas the tank engine fans.
A few good biking trails or walks close by.
Wild boars in the woods next door ( I kid you not!!)
Very poor / non existent mobile signal.
Think they have recently put in a wifi network but not sure if its accessible all over the site.
