booster seats for camping?

Has anyone used a booster seat attached to a picnic bench? Just wondered if that would be a safe feeding option for camping (for 1 year old), have been looking at the cheapy mothercare plastic booster seats. Also, does anyone just use the booster seat on the ground, like a bumbo seat? I can't decide if that would work or not, or if her gangley long legs will get in the way!

Using it on the ground worked for us with the Mothercare folding booster seat. We pegged it to the ground with tent pegs so it didn't fall over.
Her legs would just stick out the front I think. (My dd was 1 but did not have long legs.)

why not just sit her in her buggy when you feed her?

The buggy may not be as wipeable-down as a booster seat - if she is at a messy stage it may be useful to have something else to use.
Having said that, though we used the booster seat camping with dd (PFB), when we took ds camping we just sat him on the ground to eat and it didn't do him any harm

Get a cosatto on the move highchair - perfect to take camping as it folds completely flat
