Just wondering really how it went, did you enjoy it etc. if you went to France, can you recommend a good destination?

I've nt actually travelled with Siblu but have stayed on one of their sites. Le Bois masson - tbh it was very British and not really for us although we did have a great holiday! The sister Siblu site across the road le Bois Dormant was much nicer!!! I love Brittany and the Vendee and have recently strated venturing to camping in iTaly!!! Camping near Paris this year too with canvas. How much driving do you want to do? Do you want guaranteed sunshine? Recommendations will depend on your answers! Brittany is fab but can't guarantee the sunshine like the south of France - obvioulsy not as much driving tho!

We have won the holiday courtesy of Mn competition and have to choose between 11 of Siblu's holiday camps in France. We've got a Lo who will be 9mths old in June when we plan to travel and it's self-drive dover to calais crossing included in the prize so don't fancy travelling all the way down to the south of France but don't fancy Brittany to much as its quite British. I love France and can't decide where I'd like to go the most. last year we went down to the south of france but that was flying.

We went to Le Bois Dormant last May. It was very nice. The accommodation was clean and reasonably secluded - we had an Elegance with terrace. The facilities on the site were sufficient for our needs. I'd use Siblu again and I'd recommend this site if you're looking for a quiet, relaxing break.

It took a whole day to do the drive from Calais, but it's a fairly easy route (apart from getting around Paris - don't rely on SatNav!).

Hope this helps

Bit late coming to this one, but I stayed in Brittany last year with siblu and it certainly didn't feel British! Visited the local town Pont Aven and Concarneau, a both were very French. Stayed with my DP at Domaine de Kerlann, which was lovely too

We have been with Siblu to:

Le Bois Dormant - Vendee (least favourite, had nicer cheaper sites with other companies)
Domaine de Kerlann - Brittany
Le Charmettes - Charente Maritime (twice)
Le Vieux Port - Gascony (twice)
El Delfin Verde - Costa Brava
La Sirene - Argeles sur Mer (S. France)
La Carabasse - Languedoc (twice + booked for this year)

Ask away

We stayed at Domaine de Kerlann in Brittany and it was idyllic. Great pool, indoor with childrens and baby changing tables, family changing rooms etc. splash zone, lots of playgrounds for different aged children. Lots of places to go nearby, Concarneau, Quimper, Rospico beach which was empty and amazing, lots of beautiful little picnic areas, truly lovely.

We then went to Le Bois Dormant and it was terrible, pools were dirty and cold, no decent changing areas for the baby, generally unkept, Vendee has much less to do if the weather isn't so good, but lots of beaches if the weather is great. Plus it's a longer drive. Also, the caravan we were in was owned by someone else and let to Siblu, the owner actually didn't realise it was let to Siblu that week and walked in on us at 2am turning all the lights on and shouting in French. We panicked because it was the same time as the Madeline McCann thing and our DD was that age. It was horrible. Siblu moved us, or let us move ourselves but it was a pretty horrible time as we never felt safe there again. The staff weren't particularly good, very snooty. However, chances are something like that is pretty rare and if the weather was good there (it rained for our fortnight in late May) it would have been a better holiday.

I do definitely recommend Domaine de Kerlann though - we'll definitely go back there.
