So, I am about to embark on or first camping trip with 2 year old twins. Apart from the usual equipment (tent, sleeping bags, cooker), is there anything that we should take that will make our trip more pleasant?

Wine and a corkscrew

Those garden lights that are powered by the sun - stake one each side of your tent entrance to guide you past the guy ropes when you go for a midnight pee.

Erm

[gone blank]

have a great time

Are you doing Electric?
We take a small fridge (counter top thingy) I hate the having soggy cheese from melted ice packs.

Foldy - table thing

A big enough tent - ie one you can stand up in, and extra room

Cable ties and bungees (useful for SO many things)

Air beds

ARE YOU GOING NOW??? AS IN NOVEMBER!!!???

Clothes pegs

More thick clothing than you think you will need

ummmmmm.....

OMG are you in the UK? If so take a caravan too.

delphinedownunder · 10/11/2008 02:16

Solar lights - great idea. And i thought a box of wine! Not in UK (so not mad), but NZ where summer is just beginning.

Yeah, Sallystrawberry - it's positively springlike here in NZ! All ideas gratefully received and very useful. What about toddler sleeping? Would you use travel cots?
