River Dart Camping.

I'm looking at booking a week at this campsite for next summer. Its totally dfferent to the sort of sites we normally go to as we normally pick really basic sites.

Any advice for which part of the site to pick? I was thinking maybe Lower Riverside as it looks a bit more on the outskirts and am worried I may be freaked out my uniform rows of tents if we're in the middle Is it miles from the nearest loo though?

Have stayed at river dart quite a few times, they have a really good website and it is also worth looking at uk campsite finder. If you pitch further down towards the river and play areas you will be further away from the loos.
How old are your kids.......this would reflect upon where the best place to pitch is.

Just the one kid - she'll be 8. So I'm hoping maybe old enough to go to the play areas by herself??? Not sure, will have to see how safe it feels when we're there. Ideally she will make friends with kids her age and they can all scamper off together and leave me to wine and a book.

Oh and are dogs allowed in the play areas if they're on a lead? Thanks.

The park is vast so it depends on how comfortable your daughter feels about going off. I have let mine go off but they were8 7 when we went and quite street wise. I have seen dogs at the park but you best check.

Thanks Warbis. Will have to see how she (and I) feel when we get there. She'll probably be quite brave if she can take the dog.
