Would love to find a campsite on the West coast in a beautiful setting - any recommendations? Also - would it nornmally be warm enough @ Easter?

It will be warm enough to camp as long as you take the right kit. Make sure your camp site allows open fires.
Would you consider Glencoe?
There's a great site there called the Red Squirrel - walking distance of the famous Clachaig Inn where you will get lovely home made food, live music etc. Glencoe is absolutely stunning - would take around 2 hours from Glasgow if I remember correctly. There are also plenty of easy/moderate walks within amazing scenery.

By the way when I say 'open fires' I mean ground fires as opposed to alter fires which are rubbish.

ground fires sounds fantastic!!!

You can have ground fires at the red squirrel!

It can and often is totally freezing at Easter, I have spent a few Easters on campsites with either frost or a light dusting of snow on the ground.

I really don't think I would go in canvas to Glencoe at Easter. Somewhere coastal will be a bit milder.
