If you can afford it and have the space in the car then definitely the polycotton. They are stronger, quieter, cooler in summer and warmer in winter. They are heavier though and are bigger when packed up.

Slubberdegullion · 27/08/2008 18:25

I'm sure it was dusty, I'm sure it was

BUT

did it make your norks look like they did before you had kids?

Did it?

I doubt it.

My Cabanon does....and more.

Slubberdegullion · 27/08/2008 18:26

It was you who I had this conversation with wasn't it?

Slubberdegullion · 27/08/2008 18:28

sorry spud, I am being rude.

If you have the space and money as dusty says, go for the polycotton. For all the reasons she says.

dustystar · 27/08/2008 18:30

It was me yes slubber i wasn't ignoring you lol I regret to report that as yet norks are still as far south as pre-polycotton The tent is still fab though.

What sort of design were you thinking of spud?

Slubberdegullion · 28/08/2008 16:57

Vango have a polycotton one...Vango Zanzibar I think...anyone any experience of it?

surprise · 12/09/2008 16:53

spud - we have the Vango Amazon 800, which is the polyester version of the Zanzibar (I think). A great tent, plenty of ventilation but it was a bit noisy when the wind got up strongly. I suspect the polycotton one would be much quieter. Would have chosen that if we'd had more £!!
