MehgaLegs · 18/08/2008 22:03

Was going to say Cornwall - we have only just dried out after week of gales and wet.

ingles2 · 18/08/2008 22:11

You'd think I was in Cornwall wouldn't you!
But nope...
I'm in blardy BIARRITZ!!

Really?!!

get thee away from that Atlantic Coast! Inland - the Lot, Tarn or Ardeche is where you need to be - or with us last week in the Loire

poor ds's though - sick in a tent cannot be nice

Quattrocento · 18/08/2008 22:21

I love threads like these - they remind me why I have never taken the DCs camping

Perhaps you are right - suffering in a tent with my DCs would undoubtedly teach them fortitude and making do.

It would drive me demented though

Good luck with the rest of your holiday

Slubberdegullion · 18/08/2008 22:22

Oh No! poor you. I have done sick in a tent, you have my utmost of sympathies.

Lucycat · 18/08/2008 22:23

in fact slubber iirc - you have done sick twice in a tent!

was dd ok this time?

bramblebooks · 18/08/2008 22:47

poor, poor you. Hope things improve soon.

Slubberdegullion · 18/08/2008 22:50

Lucycat · 19/08/2008 15:28

ahh yes the 'bad pie' syndrome - I've had that too! especially when combined with Pernod and blackcurant (that was the evening I was convinced that i was haemorraghing) in my yoof

Guadalupe · 19/08/2008 15:31

we got back from cornwall last night. It pissed down most of the time.

we were in a cottage for a week and then had four days camping but it was a slackers tent with wood burning stove in. It was cosy in the rain.

Slubberdegullion · 19/08/2008 15:33

yes. The delicious wine had nowt to do with it. I blame the M&S finest tinned mince. I was trying it out a la Delia. My stomach rejected the tinned produce.

Tinned mince ffs. never again

Lucycat · 19/08/2008 16:26

the phrase 'serves you right' comes to mind

better be eating dog food!
