books or magazines about camping.....

can anyone recommend a book on camping, and is there a magazine that is about camping? ( can only find ones about motorhomes and caravans). Thankyou

Agree with ForeverOptimistic about the Cool Camping Guides - they are fab.

I have another book - "The Happy Campers" - which is lovely (link to their website here): www.thehappycamper.co.uk/about/. It is not one for minimalist campers though. They definitely enjoy all the home comforts and it includes tips for things to make, do and cook on camp as well as some of the basics and luxuries to take. Photography and artwork is fab too. Don't buy it expecting any camp site reviews though - get Cool Camping guides for that.

I have bought it a few times and found it quite interesting. I think if you join the Camping and Caravanning Club you get a magazine too but I haven't been a member for a while so don't know what it's like now.

Thanks for the links and recommendation Surfette and ForeverOptimistic, I will definately look out for the book and magazine. We are about to start camping with our 2 dd's (2.5 and 15 months), and i am excited and a bit scared! I love planning,writing lists and reading up on tips and stuff (I am very sad) so hope these bits will help.
