Can anybody recommend any in this area? We are off to visit in-laws up north and thought this would be a good half-way point to over-night.Dd2 3.11 is not good on long car trips. TIA

you going up the M11 or A1?

this one is in Cambridge and would be nice if you were planning on seeing Cambridge too but if your just pitching overnight then maybe this would be better as its just off the A14/A1

Thanks for those- the first one looks particularly nice, always good to have a little bit of a kids play area! We will be venturing up the A1-I never relish it!!

the website was really easy to use so if you want to look for something further north then it would be quite easy to do.

Enjoy

If you intend to visit Cambridge, the Cabbage Moor site is best. It is in the suburbs and you can catch a bus into Cambridge (Citi 7) from the road.

We had 3 nights at the St Neots site in May. The facilities were good (warm and clean!) but be aware it's right next to the river - we had a lot of rain and the campsite flooded....

bythepowerofgreyskull where abouts are you in EA? as i've never heard St Neots described as a 'pretty little town' by anyone before!

OK so there are areas I would not send someone to but to stay at a campsite by the river is ok.

I lived in the beautiful ancient town of Huntingdon for years but now live on the Suffolk side of Cambridge.
