Electric Hookup?

Hi everyone

I've just joined mumsnet (no idea how I missed this before!!) and spotted the camping section so thought I'd pick your brains!

I'm planning on getting an electric hookup for when we go camping this year (luxury huh!) and I'm trying to find a good price on the net. Has anyone bought one recently?
This is the cheapest I've found www.waudbys.co.uk/products/details/15238.html

Have seen lots of scary looking homemade contraptions on ebay but not sure they're safe!!

Thanks for reading my first post!

Hi and welcome to mumsnet
That one looks pretty much the same as mine ...although i bought mine quite a while ago and it was a lot more than that (that seems good value to me i would go for it).

That is a pretty good price.

No idea about hook ups but welcome to MN

Mine was £45 from camperlands.co.uk so that one's a bargain!

That is a fantastis price! We paid £50 for our triple. One point to note - what are the plugs like on the things you want to use? On that type plugs plastic reinforced bits that stick out the bottom of the plug may mean that you'd only be able to use the top and bottom sockets because the modern welded on plugs sometimes get in the way of the socket covers. Don't touch the ebay ones with a barge pole - you're right to be worried about safety.

Thanks for the welcome and replies!

Think we'll go with that one. A girl has to have a bit of luxury huh?!
