Hi all

off to see Jack Johnson this weekend and camping at Trevarrian campsite (hope to goodness it'a ok). On the Sat morning looking for place to visit with a wet weather (boo hoo) and dry weather option.

Did think that the zoo would be ok - not my type of place but dd 4yrs would probably love it.

Anyone with any tips/better/different ides?

Thanks

theres Blue Reef Aquarium which is good.eden project?will keep thinking.

cheesesarnie · 01/07/2008 22:29

dont tempt me!my sisters going too.i cant.(might just look though on ebay lol)

cheesesarnie · 01/07/2008 22:32

theres dairyland(not sure how much indoors) or flambards(quite a bit is under cover,in helstone).

threetinytots · 01/07/2008 22:40

Springfields, Dairyland, Blue Reef, Eden, Padstow, Newquay Zoo, Miniatura Park, Lappa Valley.

Do you want kiddy entertainment or a bit more grown up? Flambards bit far if you just want a morning. Lots indoors at Dairyland - Bull Pen - big indoor soft play.

I used to live in Newquay, but now live on the lizard so have local knowledge!!

threetinytots · 01/07/2008 23:14

Sorry cheesesarnie, didn't realise you had already posted with options

cheesesarnie · 02/07/2008 11:05

thats ok.there isnt much choice round here really if weather isnt great is there?

threetinytots · 02/07/2008 13:23

no, not at all! was racking my brains last night trying to think of wet weather options, but there aren't very many. Blue Reef is good, but only kept mine occupied for about an hour!
Just thought about Crealy - not sure what it's like though, never got round to going!

cheesesarnie · 02/07/2008 15:44

crealy is really good (were taking our morris 1000 too a car show there again in september-cheap entry with car!)but mostly outside.

Billster · 02/07/2008 20:02

wow thanks for all the ideas - sounds just like here (Gower) a dream when the sun is out but a real challenge in the rain! I am still tempted by the zoo however a little cautious given that we'll be outside all afternoon/evening in the rain watching Jack! Not too bothered about that however not looking forward to pitching tent in the rain!

Dd not really a soft play person - are there any good public pools that would be appropriate for an armbands 4 year old?

We always go swimming at Hendra holiday park when we're down that way.

I am very , I'd love to be going.

Billster · 06/07/2008 20:57

well, our plans didn't quite go to plan! The weather was horrendous. We ended up cancelling the campsite for fear our new tent would get ripped to shreds when we were trying to pitch (being the novices that we are). Was up until the early hrs of Friday morning trying to find alternative accommodation - everythign booked up. finally booked into Hendra into a caravan for 1 night, on road for 5 hrs Sat am travelling from Wales to Newquay, wandered around newquay in the rain for 2 hrs waiting for the concert to start only to receive a text saying it was cancelled due to high winds! aaarrrgggggg!! So for everyone who was jealous I'm with you as he played today too and we couldn't stick around another night. Hendra's indoor pool and the lobsters at the New Harbour Restaurant were the higlights this time.
