Nice site for kids - Cotswolds/Forest of Dean sort of area?

Hi - planning a "mums and kids" camping trip just for a couple of nights. Would like a small, friendly site with nice showers (i.e clean and warm!) within an hour or so of the Cotswolds. Something interesting for the kids like a farm type site or a nice play area would be a bonus. (Maybe even a pool? but not essential as I don't really want one of those mahoosive Haven type sites). Any suggestions? Thanks oh wise ones.

Whitemead forest park in Forest of Dean (lydney) Not huge but has a few log cabin type of things. Very nice facilities indoor pool and play area.

We stayed here a couple of years ago.

Lovely clean showers and small shop onsite which sold lovely fresh bread and croissants every morning. The tents were pitched around the kids playground which meant we could keep a close eye on what they were up to. Hope this helps.

Have you tried Hoburne Holidays - they have a site in the Cotswolds. It is a site with static caravans but they have camping too. I suppose it is a bit like Haven but no way near the same size. We went a couple of years ago and thought it was lovely.

Hobourne cotswold is in a lovely location very nice showers and loos indoor and outdoor pool, children's entertainment, shop on site, pedalo lake but I don't know if its a bit too much like Haven for you.

Try going on the UK camping website, site directory which allows you to search on regions and also there are reviews from people who have stayed at these sites.
